Product Structure Characteristics
Our ZBW-12 Pre-installed American Box Type Substation is engineered with a compact, space-efficient structure, occupying merely 1/3 to 1.5 of the space required by a similar capacity domestic European box transformer. This design significantly minimizes the installation footprint.

Fuse
The high voltage side of our Pre-installed American Box Type Substation boasts comprehensive protection through a series of backup and plug-in fuses. This system is economical, reliable, and straightforward. The backup protection fuse is an oil-immersed high-voltage current-limiting fuse with substantial breaking capacity, activating only during internal transformer malfunctions. The dual-sensitive plug-in fuse provides dual-tier protection against currents and temperatures, and post-fuse blowout, the core is easily replaceable on-site.
Structure and operation sequence

1. The layout

For our state-of-the-art 10kV ZBW-12 Pre-installed American Box Type Substation, consult Figure 2 and Figure 3. The oil tank is ingeniously divided into two sections: the upper high-voltage oil tank and the lower transformer oil tank, connected electrically but with blocked oil flow. Figure 1 illustrates the schematic, showing 'I' and 'I' lines as loop network feeders, 'll' branches as transformer branches, and 'V' as the low-voltage output. Our substations adeptly support both ring network and terminal systems, facilitating effortless conversions. The line feed and 'l' branch transition via the load switch of the ring network, with backup and plug-in fuses protecting against short-circuit, overload, and overtemperature. High-voltage display devices and lightning arresters are additional options. The low-voltage end outputs through a meter and low-voltage circuit breaker.

1. The transformer

KEXR Pre-installed American Box Type Substation Embrace the innovation of the new S9 and S11 series three-phase oil-flooded transformers, designed to deliver exceptional performance with their impressive low no-load loss, minimal temperature rise, whisper-quiet operation, and reduced height. These transformers boast improved efficiency, with both no-load and load losses significantly lower than their predecessors, the original S9 models, positioning them at the forefront of domestic advanced technology. Crafted with a fully sealed structure, they effectively shield against air pollution and insulation degradation caused by moisture. Ingeniously, an air cushion of 40-90mm is nestled atop the oil tank, working harmoniously with the corrugated shell to dissipate heat efficiently, cooling the system and reducing internal pressure.

1. Backup Protection Fuse

Strategically integrated with the plug-in fuse within the transformer branch (see R1 and R2 in Figure 2), this full-range protection fuse is engineered to activate only during internal substation short-circuit faults, ensuring an extremely low probability of blowing. Nestled in the upper oil tank, access requires opening the tank for updates, highlighting its reliability and minimal maintenance needs.
 

1. Plug-in Fuse

The plug-in fuse is a marvel of design, featuring a dual sensitivity melting core responsive to both temperature and current fluctuations. It springs into action when the load side encounters a fault, whether due to overload or excessive heat. In tandem with the backup protection fuse, this setup offers comprehensive protection across the spectrum, from minor currents to robust surges of up to 50kA, safeguarding the system with maximum efficacy.
The synergy between the backup fuse and plug-in fuse is pivotal, directly influencing the operational excellence of the entire substation. Refer to the subsequent table for a segment of the fuse selection guidelines tailored for the 10kV Pre-installed American Box Type Substation for reference only.
