Product Structure Characteristics
The ZBW-12 Pre-installed American Box Type Substation features a compact and space-efficient design, occupying just 1/3 to 1.5 times the volume of equivalent capacity domestic European box transformers. This compactness significantly minimizes the required floor space.
It employs a fully sealed and insulated architecture, negating insulation distance requirements and offering reliable personal safety protection.
The high-voltage wiring is adaptable for both ring network and terminal configurations, providing a versatile and high-reliability power supply mode.

Fuse
The high voltage side of Pre-installed American Box Type Substation features comprehensive protection via a series connection of backup and plug-in fuses. This system is economically efficient and reliable. The backup protection fuse is an oil-immersed, high-voltage current-limiting model with a substantial breaking capacity. The plug-in fuse, equipped with a dual-sensitive feature, affords dual protection against current and temperature. Post-activation, the fuse core can be swiftly replaced on-site.
Structure and operation sequence

1. The layout

For the shape and structure of 10kV ZBW-12 Pre-installed American Box Type Substationis elucidated in Figures 2 and 3. The oil tank is bifurcated into an upper high-voltage section and a lower transformer section, connected electrically but oil-sealed. Figure 1 illustrates the schematic: 'I' lines are loop network feeders, 'II' branches are transformer branches, and 'V' denotes low-voltage output. Suitable for both ring network and terminal power supply, the substation facilitates easy conversion. Line and 'I' branch feeds use the ring network load switch. The transformer's high-voltage inlet includes backup protection and plug-in fuses for branch short-circuit, overload, and overtemperature protection, with optional high-voltage displays and lightning arresters. Low-voltage transformer output is safeguarded via meters and circuit breakers.

These transformers outperform the original S9 models by achieving lower no-load and load losses, setting a benchmark for advanced technology in the domestic market today. With a fully sealed structure, they proficiently shield against air pollution and moisture-induced insulation degradation. Ingeniously designed, an air cushion of 40-90mm is positioned atop the oil tank, synergistically working with the oil tank shell's corrugations to facilitate outstanding heat dissipation and cooling, while adeptly minimizing internal pressure.

1. Backup Protection Fuse

Experience the robustness of our full-range protection fuse, intricately connected in series with the plug-in fuse in the transformer branch (illustrated by R1 and R2 in Figure 2). This sophisticated system ensures that the fuse blows only under internal substation short-circuit faults, making incidents exceedingly rare. Conveniently installed in the upper oil tank, it necessitates opening the oil tank for updates, ensuring safety and reliability across operations.
 

1. Plug-in Fuse

Our plug-in fuse features a melting core with dual sensitivity, responding to both temperature and current variations. It precisely melts during load side failures, whether due to overload or excessive temperature. By pairing the plug-in fuse with a backup protection fuse in a series arrangement, we deliver comprehensive protection across the entire range-from small current instances to large currents up to 50 kiloamperes. This robust configuration boasts a maximum breaking current of 50kA, ensuring full-spectrum security.
