The backup protection fuse is an oil-immersed, high-voltage current-limiting fuse with exceptional breaking capacity. In the event of internal transformer faults, the sophisticated plug-in fuse, equipped with dual-sensitive fuses for current and temperature, provides dual-layer protection. Replacement of the fuse core, post-trigger, is effortlessly manageable on-site.
Structure and operation sequence

1. The layout

For the 10kV design and structure of ZBW-12 Pre-installed American Box Type Substation, refer to Figures 2 and 3. The oil tank features a dual-part configuration: a high-voltage section above and a transformer section below, connected electrically yet isolated by oil. The schematic, illustrated in Figure 1, indicates 'I' and 'I' lines as loop network feeders, 'll' branches as transformer branches, and 'V' as low-voltage output. This substation seamlessly integrates into both ring network power systems and terminal systems, with facile conversion. The line feed and 'l' branch switch are controlled via the ring network's load switch. Meanwhile, the high-voltage transformer side's incoming terminal is fortified with backup and plug-in fuses for comprehensive short-circuit, overload, and overtemperature protection of branches. Additionally, high-voltage display devices and lightning arresters can be installed, while the transformer's low-voltage output undergoes metering and circuit breaker protection.
